I have been figuring out the solution to the above question. It sparked in my brain during a conversation. The rise of the question implies maybe I am not a explorer else why it would pop up at first place. The relevant thing is how we define exploration. Per google, explore means to travel around a place in order to learn about it. Our scope is not related to travel it is related to life. To do things, in order to live a prosperous life. Since I don’t have the answer, writing now will help to have one.
How do we learn to explore life?
By doing a new thing every week or day. It can be anything. By executing new stuff we realise new things we are capable of, we realise the hidden potential. It is all about figuring that hidden potential. Writing is a new thing for me. I haven’t done that before 2020. It helped me to know more about myself.
How do we choose those new things?
That’s the trickiest part. Doing something new every day or week doesn’t seem feasible. It takes time to figure out the taste, doesn’t it? There might be things in your brain that you really wanted to do someday. Maybe take a look around and see what else you wanna do and what makes you want to explore that. When we explore to learn or to just have fun, that’s when the exploration doesn’t feel like a burden like studies. If we explore for some other reasons let say money, it may not turn out that joyful. If it is not joyful, we won’t be able to sustain the habit. If we request our brain to guide us it will come off with the amazing answer of its own. Then comes the filtering and ordering of the list.
For instance for the next week, one can explore the power of deep breathing. Doing it whenever possible and keep reminding oneself to inhale and exhale a deeper breathe and observer it just for a week. Let’s see how it goes. How do we make this entertaining? Put on a smile or watch a funny video or a small 2 minute activity that gives you true joy.
Don’t make the mistake of getting started with too many things. We might end up nowhere in that process. Taking a small step might seem like a low key progress but in the long run it’s a bull.
A gentle reminder to do deep breathing and observe the breathe along with the entertainment doze. You can put on a hourly alarm to remind yourself, until you get habituated.
