What does brave signify in your mind?

We relate brave with boldness, where one is fearless to do the right thing. Though we are not going to deep dive into bravery. We are here to talk about a product. The above icon is of that product. Any guess what’s the application name or what’s its functionality.

Hint: It has to do something with the word ‘brave’.

The above icon is of Brave Browser. The browser helps us to surf the internet ad free. Additionally, it blocks most of the trackers, which keep track of our taste over the digital world. By blocking the ads and trackers, the browser is able to load the pages twice as fast as chrome. The browser is based on chromium web browser. Therefore, one won’t feel much difference if you are used to Chrome. Thanks to Brendan Eich, creator of JavaScript, for creating such a wonderful browser. It is a free and open source browser. Few people are aware of such apps. Such apps don’t gain the required traction over the front line media. Useful things like air, water, nature are often ignored. We rarely appreciate the things we get in free. When was the last time we appreciated the Sun?

Brave browser will create a huge problem for Google if most of us shift to this browser as Google won’t be able to earn through the ads. But that’s a long way as it will take time to create the awareness for Brave.

Information is cheap whereas attention is expensive.

Be careful about the digital information you are consuming. The ads make us buy stuff that we don’t require at the first place. Simultaneously it is an amazing invention to turn a free product into profitability. Be brave enough to skip the digital ads.
