How to behave better clarity?

Clarity comes from knowing. There is lot to know in this world. It is an unending upward spiral. Most of the things we learn are from thinking, observing, conversing, reading or experiencing them. We will be talking more about the conversing part today.

Let’s take the example of Alice, who had graduated a few years back and has been working in a MNC to make her end meets. She doesn’t know what really she wants to do in life. What’s the next right move for her? However, she has the will to figure out them. Want to know how does she figure out?

Simply by talking with other people and observing them. She knows other people in her firm, who are into different domains. She talks with them how’s their day to day job like. She understands the skill set required. She converse with her colleagues from consulting, finance, marketing, engineering and more domains. She has a better picture now as to which role demands what and can make the decision accordingly. Additionally, she reaches out to folks in other firms. Cold emailing helps her in reaching out to validate that the same skill sets are required in her dream company too. Furthermore, she knows that her decision still may not be the correct one and identifies the worst case scenarios of her next right move and accepts them diligently. She takes a leap of faith and make the move and the cycle continues. In case she makes a wrong choice, she happily accepts it and corrects it as soon as she realizes.

Reaching out to people helps in knowing the learning they had and in improvising our decisions. The process of reaching out may be weird in the beginning as one may not be used to it but people generally replies. After a span of time, we become accustomed to it and can easily connect with anyone.
