HDFC Bank was a subsidiary of HDFC LTD. It grew with leaps and bounds and has reached the pinnacle where it is merging with HDFC LTD. Also if we see broader market perspective there’s merger and acquisition across the board. In the coming times there will be more consolidation. The reason being it’s difficult to grow alone. Also there are synergies. There will be merger and acquisition in the food delivery segment where Zomato and Swiggy might merge.
With the rise of Tata Neu, it will be an interesting space to see how does the super app evolve. It will let you buy all Tata products from Westside to Air India to Tata salt and more.
