Finalising Next Steps

I completed the SOIC Intensive Classes (Hindi). How should I proceed next? What options do we have? There are many options. I even noted them a down few days back. However, I see I am sticking to reading the books. I will stick to it, that’s for sure. What are the other things that I can tryout?

I tried out valupickr, but I think lost interest in between. I don’t know the reason. However, I need to figure out a way. Second, I am going to invest time in SOIC. I will start with continuous classes and complete whatever tasks they give on Telegram. That’s it. Moreover, any past or new video uploaded on YouTube.

On the third steps comes reading about companies and industries. It is one of the most important activity. I need to read the research reports and the balance sheets. As simple as that. Why am I refraining from reading those articles or balance sheets. I need to pick up any business and read about it’s history. Maybe ten to fifteen or since it’s origin. I need to understand its origin and what made it come so far. Which business does you want to pick up? I want to pick up Relaxo. I don’t know why. I don’t have any understanding. I don’t have any competence as well. However, I want to deepen my understanding of footwear industry. The reason being we operate in it. Secondly, maybe I can pick up any cement industry. The reason behind that is we operate in it. I choose to study cement industry as there are boom in the infrastructure space and cement is directly related to it. Relaxo is FMFG. It depends more on the consumers. Now don’t get confused by seeing over 10 listed cement companies. If you see Buffet, he didn’t invest in index companies until they were cheap. You know where to look for cheap companies and start reading them. I am choosing relaxo becuase I just want to. Moreover I shouldn’t have any relation with them. They are just businesses to learn. I just need to understand what work and what doesn’t work and why.
