
Many of the startups are busy in hiring in meme makers now-a-days to gain traction through the social channel. See any of the reputed products like Cadbury, Kitkat, Apple, Google and more. They spend millions of dollars on the ads and occupy mind space in our brain.
On the other hand, Ferrari spends nothing on advertising and invests on F1 cars where it knows half a billion people will be watching. Even Tesla spends zero on advertising. Both these companies are profitable and occupy a significant mindspace without spending much.
There is no straight answer to this topic. It totally depends on your product. If you believe Tesla is not spending any dime on marketing, remember that they have the world’s best influencer in their belt. They just need to figure out economical ways to increase the reach of your product without spending much of the capital.
