I need to know the founders more closely to understand their vision like why are they into the market just because the report says so?

There needs to be high level of coordination and communication between the team members. How about treating it like your own company then you can have the ownership mindset and can gain more from the process.

Having in depth of industry is needed as it helps in evaluating the dynamics of the company. At a startup your voice is heard and you are more valuable.
