Do you consider reading self-help books better than watching Netflix?
I am someone who used to think so but lately my perception has changed.
Reading self-help books is just another source of entertainment if you aren’t applying the learnings.
The critical point is implementing the learnings. We can learn the same principle from other mediums too as from the book.
If we are reading and not taking any action then it’s infotainment not learning.
There is nothing wrong with infotainment or entertainment. But labeling reading as superior won’t help.
In the information age, we are just running to gather more and more information and taking fewer and fewer actions.
It doesn’t matter how much data you have what matters is how much we are able to grasp from it and take action.
Having data and using it are two different aspects…!
The most important aspect is to think and act. In fact, I read a book a few months back titled “How to think?”
Wondering how to act?
Just take one actionable item from whatever source you are learning be it a book or a web series or a ted talk or anything or even this post.
Be action-biased…!
What action do you plan to take now?
