Around the corner, most of the people in the stock market have been talking about Adani and Ambani. All the listed stocks of the Adani Group have been affected today and hit a Lower Circuit, the maximum amount a stock can fall on a given day.
The game of percentage is amazing to go from 100 to 200 you need a 100% increment but to go from 200 to 100 you just need a 50% decrement.
We are here no to talk about the stock but more about Gautam. People generally talk about Elon Musk ability to handle Tesla, SpaceX Hyperloop, and more all together. Obviously, it is an art.
On the other hand, Adani has multiple listed and non-listed companies ranging into ports, power generation, gas distribution, and transmission, and power transmission and distribution, edible oil, airports, cement, and more. Undoubtedly, it is an art too.
As a rowdy young prankster, Gautambhai has broken his bones a couple of times while chasing the kites. Gautam is a college dropper. He was keenly interested in business and skipped formal education.
Post dropping out he went to work in Mumbai’s diamond industry. He made his first million at the age of 20, a self-made millionaire, just within 3 years after joining the diamond industry.
He skipped his family business into the textile to take risky bets of his own and create an empire.
After the diamond industry venture, he joined his brother to set up the plastic industry. However, it was difficult to import the polymers.
That’s when he led the foundation of Adani Enterprises Ltd in 1988 (Adani Export then). The cash cow of the Adani Group.
Back in 2009, the Gujrate Media referred to him as the next Dhirubhai Ambani.
He is known to have publicly backed Modi back in 2002-03 when Modi was facing challenges from the localities and the business community.
The ties date back to around two decades back. With time he was able to build the tie stronger. Modi flew in Adani’s private jet from Gujarat to Delhi after winning the mandate in 2014.
Mr. Adani has been kidnapped twice for ransom more than two decades back and he is one of the survivors of the 26/11 attack at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace hotel.
Undoubtedly Adani is a wise man who knows well to build the right relations and nurture them beautifully along with his amazing aptitude for business 🙂
