Today I observed the BJP President, J. P. Nadda, from a few meters speaking live. I was wondering how hard a politician’s life is especially during the time of the election. The politician needs to visit the places and needs to make voters feel he is one of them. Without likeability, it’s difficult to gain votes. Just development doesn’t help to gain votes just as good idea without proper publicization dies abruptly.
Development is a critical thing. On one side it makes the work becomes easier for the operators whereas on the other side it creates unemployment too. Back in time, the computer revolution was opposed as it will put the burden on people who don’t know to operate one. Imagine how easy your life would be without the smart devices specially during the pandemic.
Learning is a key skillset here. One needs to be a lifelong learner. With the rapid development in today’s age, the skillset we have now may be of no use 5 years down the line. Moreover, if we aren’t willing to learn we might be the ones opposing the development.
As we progress in life, we keep on gaining comfort. In the long span, it becomes a bit difficult to break the strong chains. As Buffet says, “Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” We are trained to observe big changes, not the small ones. We miss to observe the minute changes and that’s where we build a new comfort space unconsciously. Life is a sequence of experiences, continue to have amazing ones till your time on this planet…
