Milestone unlocked

I started the journey of writing on this very day in 2020, little I knew then that I will be habituated to writing. It has been one of the most enjoying journey, where I am not focused on reaching the destination just sipping in one day at time :D. It doesn’t mean I didn’t have bad days. I too had bad days. I am thankful to all my loved ones who aspired me to write continuously. Thanks to everyone of you (:

What made me continue over such a long period of time?

I don’t have a perfected blended set of rules. But here’s what probably worked for me. Writing ignited hunger and curiosity in me to know more. I was able to grasp the unknown. The more we learn the unknown, the more we want to know. Sky is the limit when it comes to learning. It’s an infinite loop. The more you know, the you want to know. That’s how I keep on getting topics to write every day.

How did I get time?

The most interesting excuse of of digital age: I don’t have the time. To this a quote of author Laura Vanderkam suits well. Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority,” and see how that feels.

Writing helped me to know more about myself. It took me over 200 days to start sharing the blogs on LinkedIn. Wondering why so late. Well that’s the way I was :D. Further Snapchat’s feature taught me that humans love the streak game. Everyone of us wants a bigger streak.

The 7 days trick work for me. If you take a glance at my first article, I committed to write only for 7 days. By God’s grace it continued to expand. I implemented the same trick to build few of my other habits. Life is a habit game. James Clear has beautifully narrated habit tricks in the] book Atomic Habit. The 2 minutes trick is the most cherishing one and helps in getting started.

Summing it up good things are time consuming. It take 20 years to be 20 year old. It doesn’t happen overnight :D. Still we continue to look for the shortcuts. That’s the way life is…

Thanks for showering your love in the last one year and continue to do 🙂

Until tomorrow…
