We have five basic senses sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. Each of the senses has their own importance. Which one of them is most relevant to us in present day context. The one which we are using most of the time. Which one is your favourite one? Aha, before today I never thought about my favourite sense, give me a minute to think. Is that what are you thinking? You have the time to think, before you read further.
With the rise of e-commerce we order most of things based on appearances not on hearing, taste, smell or touch. You have the clue where I am pointing you to, don’t you? Yeah you got it right, it’s our eyes. They are the most precious for us in today’s digital world. But only a blind experiences it’s true value. We realise the true value of the things only after losing them or by not having them at the first place 😛
But do we really care about the most precious sense. We didn’t even know our most precious sense, caring them is next level 😀 Let’s move ahead now. Same thing happen over other dimensions of our life from relationships to friendships. We know our precious friends and relations only after losing them.
Back to our high-priced eyes, the business model of most of the digital companies runs on attention span. The attention span is dependently totally on our eyes. If we don’t like the view of the website or the product we simply swipe next. The primary decision of rejecting any product is dependent on it’s appearance and here we say look don’t matter. That’s ironic.
For caring the eyes, this article, a lot can happen in the blink of an eye, narrates beautifully on how to care the eyes especially in this digital world and this youtube vidoe explains a simple one minute exercise to be relieved from the daily strain from using the smart gadgets. Be smart to make your eyes smart too!
Until then…
