Everyone falls down while climbing up and may be multiple times. The crux lies is how smoothly we can cover up and again resume to climb. Do you remember how you learnt to ride the bike? Did it happen without falling even once? I have fallen more than a couple of times.
Every setback is an opportunity. Observe any notable personalities you like, you will be able to figure out they all failed at some point. But there are other people who too fall but couldn’t got up. As my dearest friend suggest, we only focus on those successful stories not on the failure stories of unsuccessful persons. Do you recall reading failure stories who never succeeded? After all everyone wants to read a sweet ending. Those stories rarely get covered up.
It’s rare to find a person who succeeded in one go. Joe Biden attempted 8 times to reach the helm. His first Presidential nominee was in 1988, after more than 30 year he finally championed the race. “Quitter never wins.”
There are setbacks in everyone’s life. Those who are able to turn such situations into antifragile, progress in the game of life. Antifragile is a term coined by Nassim Taleb, which represent things that become stronger from disorder or harm. That’s opposite of fragile where things get broken after a strike.
Even science suggests that we progress more on a roller coaster than on a straight line. You can validate the same by watching the experiment here.
Until then!
