Ten years down the lane!

It’s not just an interview question. It’s an interesting question to align a better investment of time.

Where do I want to see myself by 2030? or Where do I must be by 2030?

Both are not the same question. Want is something we wish for and wishes are endless. The second question is more realistic. I must be financial independent and peaceful in this decade. What do I mean by financially independent? Financial independence means having certain (let’s say X) amount of money after which I won’t bother about money. How can I achieve that?

By making myself more capable and increasing by ability. A learning attitude is must for that. What kind of skills do I must acquire? Probably investing, programming and salesman skills. That’s a fabulous combination in today’s digital world. But do I really want to learn investing, programming and salesman skills? If yes, what is stopping me to make them my priority and devote time to them. I am not focusing on them like the Ambulance situation. I am sitting comfortably in my comfort zone. The right time to learn swimming is not while drowning. There is neither end goal like in the Ambulance situation nor any pressure to learn them timely. How do I create the Ambulance situation so that I too can have the razor sharp focus to improve my skills and achieve the goal of financial independence? Is the end goal really important to me? In the Ambulance situation the end goal is utmost important to us. It was driven internally not externally. How do I manifest this goal? By simply pursuing it consistently and building the habit.
