Who doesn’t like an easy path? All of us want to have a smooth road because it doesn’t put any burden on our brain or body. We can easily pass it out but it makes us face a lot of difficulties in the long run as our brain is not progressing any more. We are habituated to comfort so we choose the smooth and easy road. Comfort doesn’t lead to progress. Without progress, there will be no success.
Per research more accidents happen over smooth road. But why so? Shouldn’t more accidents happen in harsh conditions? The answer lies in psychology. More safety leads to more carelessness which leads to more accidents. In smooth roads, we drive more casually. In harsh conditions, we are more careful since we don’t want to have an accident as a result of it we are more safe.
That’s why more progress happen over a harsh condition instead of a smooth road. If you can relate the above two paragraphs. In the short run smooth road may be more fun but in the long run it won’t be. We can become bored easily that’s why even the mobile apps keep updating or keep bringing new feature every month or so. In the short run, the harsh road might be difficult but in the long run it is fun and cherish able. Instant gratification bound us to choose instant fun and ignore the long run success.
