Know what you want

Knowing what one wants is not an easy task. When we are poor we know we need money for survival as that the means to earn the livelihood and as a result we are willing to do things which we may not like or are not even interested. At that point of time interest doesn’t matter, its the survival that’s matter.

Now let’s come to a higher income level, where you are able to meet the basic needs easily. That’s when things get interesting. Now if you are not finding the life interesting or fun. You start to get irritated or bored. You start doing some searching as to what you are passionate about or such questions revolve around your brain. But such questions were not there in the lower income group, why so? At the poverty level, the main motive is to make money. At higher level, the main motive gets a bit tweaked. Since you are already able to make the basic needs easily. You need something more.

At times it makes we wonder if passion just a hoax like motivation. There is no purpose of the life and we find it difficult to do purposeless things. We are more inclined to get things done when we have a reason or a purpose. There are certain activity which gives you joy maybe like planning things. However, when you start to make money through it the dynamics start to change as we get inclined towards the money instead of the fun part. So what makes you get up daily and push yourself to do things?

We create our own purpose and live with it. In most of the cases the purpose is to earn money. That’s why we love free money too. Because we have been making money by putting on lots of hard efforts not just by playing the game. Identifying the game is the tricky part here and the game may change from time to time as we evolve as a person. Realising in which game we are will make the life easier. Just to remind you, at the end we don’t need anything to be happy. We can smile without a reason and it doesn’t cost a penny too 🙂
