Let’s talk about a hidden reality, which everyone is facing in today’s digital age. Be it kid or adult, most of us are glued to digital screens. The pandemic even boosted the screen time further to new heights. Unconsciously, most of us are addicted to screens. You may find it hard to agree but if you use electronic devices in day to day life, you are already addicted.

If you entertain yourself most of the time by spending time with the screen, its time to figure out other means to spend more time physically. We start living in an illusion world as a result of this high screen time. Further it alters the controlling of brain and affect the dopamine level too. Given that we are now required to spend more time with the screens, we must figure out ways so that we are able to detoxify from screens. The best way that one of my siblings suggested to me is to flip the smartphone, when not in use just like in the image above.

What happens when we face the cover instead of the screen?

We are less likely to pick up the smart device. The screen is addictive just like sugar. If you face the screen you are more likely to pick it up. Just do this experiment for a day to two. You will notice the results of your own. However, be prepared to have the mini battles with mind.

Knowing more about the things with which we spend most of our times, will lead to drastic change in our life automatically. Keep the curious mind alive.
