The chances are on the higher side that you have seen this mark in lots of packaging boxes. Especially in your smart phone packaging box. You can go ahead and check after you are done reading this article.
Did you ever question, why do we have this marking and what does this mark really signify?
I saw this mark after a long time in the noon today. I started to wonder what does mark signify and added it to my writing list. In the evening, I sit to write. I had challenges at the beginning as I didn’t even know what should be the google query. An idea popped up to search about the packaging symbols as mind flows where attention goes. I went through a couple of articles and found various other symbols but not this one. Thereafter, I scrolled through the image section and finally found this symbol.
CE marking is an administrative marking, which indicates that the product is in compliance per the European standards. CE stands for “Conformité Européenne” ( French for “European Conformity”). The products are in conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). This marking is not a certification. Additionally, it does not indicate that any authority has confirmed that it meets the standard requirements.
In the interest of time, I couldn’t find more in depth about the marking. If you find any interesting article on the same, feel free to share with me.
