What is curiosity?
Per the google dictionary, curiosity means “a strong desire to know or learn something”.
Do you have the curiosity as how things work around you?
Maybe or may not be. Does even the curiosity matter? If and only if you want to know more, it matters a lot. You can ask yourself weird questions, think on those questions and search for the solutions. Did you ever think how did the electronic gadgets got named as mobile or tablet or laptop? They could have other names too.
We can lead a happy life without having a curious mind too. There is no harm in that too. Everyone has their own unique way to live. But having one makes life more interesting.
How does having the curiosity help?
It helps in building the knowledge base stronger. The more question you ask the better you become at asking quality questions. Compounding is doing its work one way or the other.
How do we get started?
We can’t become a champion just overnight. It will take time, depending on how much efforts we are putting on and for how long. We start with just 10 minutes a day. Take any time during the day, which suits you and start questioning. Observing your surroundings. Knowing more about the things that you use more often. Don’t forget to include the body parts, which we use all the time, when we are awake, especially the smartest device, brain. Building the habit is more necessary. Rest it will evolve with time. You will automatically start to come up with some interesting topics of your own.
In the current situation having the curiosity is a great asset to have. We never know when our current skill become redundant as machines can do more efficiently than us. Reminds of Darwin’s theory, “Survival of the fittest”
