Today is the sixth day of the “Paryushana Parv”. It is about the recitation of the mantra. How does mantra help us? Would just repeating a word have any impact? Every word creates it’s own vibration, which effects our mind and it’s functioning. We become what we say.
Instead of mantras we will be discussing about affirmations. They play a key role in our day to day life. If you keep saying, I am angry, over a period of time. You will start behaving like an angry person soon, since we have been creating the vibration of anger in one self. Similarly, we keep saying I am busy and become way more occupied. On the other hand, if we use words such as free and peaceful, the positive vibrations will be created within us. You may feel frustrated to utter that I am free when the reality is different. Our brain is reluctant to change. However, by creating those vibes over a period, we change ourselves. As Ganhiji said, “Be the change you want to see.”
Whenever you are alone, you can observe your thoughts. On doing this experiment, you will find that we mostly have negative thoughts. That’s our natural behaviour, but we have the power to replace them. We can use affirmative statements to walk out of the negative environment. It may not be easy. Good things need effort mentally too. When we keep repeating something for six months we will surely become that person after six months. For instance, Lord Mahavir started practising affirmation six months before he started his journey of enlightenment.
In your day to day life people might ask you how are you doing? Generally we reply I am fine or good. Instead of using them why not use I am wonderful. I am awesome. I am amazing. I am happy. Execute it next time whenever you connect with someone.
