What’s the right kind of learning?
Is it when someone just tells you to memorize some points and those points help you to make good score? It may be a right strategy if you want to score good mark in the school examination. However, the strategy fails drastically in the exam of life.
The ignorant man is not the unlearned ones but the one who doesn’t know oneself. Understanding comes through experimenting and self learning. Just reading the books and watching the videos or listening to the lectures doesn’t help. People quote Buffet reads 500 pages a day. May be he does. However we ignore that he devotes time to thinking along with reading. Secondly he converse a lot with others, especially Charlie.
Reading a book without thinking is only entertainment not joyful learning.

I am not against reading books or listening to videos. One must read the techniques used by the leaders of your field. But we need to apply them too to see the same affect or may be we can come with an upgraded version. Experiencing is the best form learning as it stays with us for good. If you recall your best learning of life, it will be from one of the best or worst experiences you had in the past.
While reading an autobiography, we generally read the experience of that human being. We read it like a story tale. This reading won’t be that fruitful as we are not absorbing the experiences, we are just skimming through it.
What can we do?
We can think of the same situation in our life, going with the what if scenario. If you had such a situation, what would you choose to do. It will help you to know oneself better. Further, if you come across such a scenario in future or any of its flavor. You are well prepared to tackle it in advance. We don’t learn to swim, when we are drowning.
Thinking is simple but not easy!
Hope you think more!
