Probably during your school days you might have across the Wright Brothers. After all they flew the first powered flight in the history of the World in December 1903. If we look from hindsight, what do you think this must be covered in newspaper or not? The answer is obvious it should be covered. However, if we look back to newspaper of that time. None of them covered the news. They ignored it completely for the first five years. What can be the reason that such a great invention got ignored not just for a couple of years but for 5 year?
As David McCullough, author of “The Wright Brothers”, puts it in words, “There was a human fixation that man can’t fly and anybody who pretends that man can fly is a crackpot.”
The Wright brothers were the least qualified engineers in the race of building the airplanes. Even they lack the resources and funds. However, they had the will and patience. At times, abundant is curse. Just like the way we ignore oxygen.
They had the patience to keep working, without getting any attention. Would we be able to work without having any fame after inventing such a great stuff?
Similarly, many good companies get ignored as they don’t get the required recognition. But they skyrocket once they are noticed.
